I take my skin care routine as seriously as I take my coins. It generally consists of me washing and moisturizing daily, exfoliating twice a week, and trying a different mask twice a month. Also, drinking lots of water plays a huge part in my glowing skin. Usually my routine always works for me… until it gets cold outside. I’ll have dry spots, certain moisturizers dry up as soon as I walk out of the door, and my skin feels like a freezer-burned Pizza Roll that has been sitting for the past year. Fortunately, I finally found some products that keep my skin glowing and moisturized in the cold weather.

Sunflower Sweets Serum by Ayele Cosmetics (starting at $22)

I purchased this product when I saw women with acne post their before-and-after photos on Twitter. Though I don’t struggle with acne, I loved how the women had a beautiful glow and even skin. I bought this product early this month and I’ve been hooked ever since. For the cold, I apply the Sunflower Sweets serum after I apply the Perfecting Glow Lotion to lock in the moisture.

Ro's Argan by Lush USA (staring at $35.95)

I stumbled upon this gem while with my mom on a random Lush shopping spree. Who knew that you could spend $90 on soap without shopper’s remorse? Ro’s Argan has a rosey scent and it makes your skin feel like silk when you step out of the shower. I love this product because when I am in a rush, I can lotion up in the shower. When your skin is wet and you apply an oil or shower lotion, it absorbs more moisture.

Beauty tip: if you have really dry skin, apply your usual moisturizer after using this product.

Vanilla Body Scrub by Cream Blends ($20.00)

I know I’m not the only one that gets dry patches on my skin when it gets cold outside. Every once in awhile, you need to exfoliate. Say it with me… EXFOLIATE! It is essential to keeping your skin looking fresh because it helps buff the ashiness away. I love this product because it is organic, made from raw sugar and essential oils.

Beauty tip: use an exfoliator before and after a wax; it helps to prevent ingrown hairs.

Gentle Peeling Exfoliant by E.L.F ($10)

Just like your body, your face can get those icky dry spots when you aren’t using the right products. This exfoliator by ELF is not only great because it moisturizes your skin while getting rid of the old skin cells, but it peels. Also, I love this product because it is $10 but has the quality of a $100 product.

Beauty tip: After exfoliating, apply toner to help reduce the appearance of pores and tighten skin.

Healthy Feet Foot Cream by O'Keeffe's  ($7.75)

In the summer, we pay close attention to our feet because we have them out and painted pretty in sandals and open-toe pumps. But in the winter, we keep them tucked into our shoes and boots and we don’t show them as much love. O’Keeffe’s Healthy Feet Foot Cream is what you need to keep your feet soft and stop them from cracking. I love to put this cream on before I put on my socks before bed.
