The annual shopping frenzy weekend is almost over. The trifecta of Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday comprise the beginning of the madness of the holiday shopping season. If you missed out on the deals this weekend, not to worry – Cyber Monday is here for you to still enjoy some much-needed savings. Here are our tips and strategies to maximize your dollar this Cyber Monday.

Best Deals

Kohl’s - 50% off all outerwear

If you’re looking to bundle up for the winter weather, Kohl’s is the place to go this Cyber Monday. With 50% off all outerwear, it’s never been a better time to get your coat or scarf to brace the incoming cold.

Best Buy - TVs

If you missed out on getting a TV during Black Friday, Best Buy has you covered with some ridiculous savings. Need a 65-inch to fill out your family room? Try the Sony X850F 4K HDR TV, normally $1,399.99, today $999.99. 65 too large? How about a 55-inch Samsung NU6900, normally $499.99, today $397.99, or a Samsung NU6900 Series (43-inch) 4K HDR TV, normally $379.99, today $277.99. Bottom line: if you’re looking for a great deal on a TV, Best Buy has them for you.

Walmart - Up to 50% off name-brand toys

Cyber Monday is a great time to get toys for the little ones this holiday season, and Walmart is the place to go for the best deals. Hot Wheels 50 Car Gift Pack was $54.97, now $34.97. LEGO Star Wars Y-Wing Starfighter was $59.99, now $37.99. Even Nerf products are getting some Cyber Monday love with their Nerf Laser Ops Alphapoint Pro 2-pack, which was $39.88 and is now $24.98.

What to Look Out For

Checkout tips

When you check out, make sure that the company you’re purchasing from offers free shipping. While most stores offer free shipping for the holidays, some (like Walmart) have a minimum spending policy, meaning you have to spend a certain amount of money to get the free shipping. So be aware that not every free shipping deal is as it seems.

Also, when checking out, you’ll want to see if the company is offering a promo code, as many will offer bonus coupons during the last stage of your buying journey. If you can’t find one, check out sites like retailmenot.com or slickdeals.net to find some extra savings.

Look for incentives

Many times, a company will offer a bonus incentive to try to get a product off the shelves so that they have room for the inventory coming for the new year. Apple is doing this with its iPhones 8 and 7, where if you purchase one of the phones, you get a $50 gift card. They are also doing this with their various iPads, offering a $100 gift card as an incentive.

Compare pricing

Finally, one of the biggest things people forget when they are shopping is to price compare. Just because a deal looks great on paper doesn’t mean it’s the best one. For example, if you purchase a Nintendo Switch from Walmart or Target, it will cost $299; however, if you purchase it from Walmart, you also get a $35 Nintendo eShop gift card as opposed to buying it from Target, where you don’t receive the gift card. Always price compare before you buy in order to maximize the value of your purchase.
